We'll be discussing the educational tracks and career paths available in the field. OHSU offers three tracks within our Biomedical Informatics program:

Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
- Students learn to apply the techniques of informatics, computer
science, and statistics to address problems in genomics and biology
generally. *
Health Information Management
- Students gain knowledge and skills in the application of information
technology (IT) and Health Information Management to healthcare. The
HIM program is CAHIIM-accredited and allows graduates to sit for the
RHIA certification exam.
