D.C.-Area Alumni Career Night

D.C.-Area Alumni Career Night
Thursday, January 10
6:30 p.m., Vapion's Chinatown
623 H. St. NW, between 6th and 7th streets

Going to be in D.C. over break?

Please mark your calendar for the inaugural D.C.-area alumni career night on January 10, 2013.  A Reed degree is a ticket to possibilities-- D.C. alumni work in government, NGOs, academia, business, health, research, as federal contractors, and nearly every other field related to what goes on in our nation's capital. Come to talk, meet, and connect with people who appreciate where you're coming from and may have some thoughts on what you can offer potential employers. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at Vapiano's Chinatown, 623 H. St. NW, between 6th and 7th streets.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to career.services@reed.edu by January 2nd with your name, area(s) of professional interest and experience (e.g., arts and publishing, business and finance, non-profit, international organizations/ngos, technology, health and medicine, scientific research), and your preferred contact information (include mailing address, telephone, and/or e-mail). As a way of organizing the networking event, we'd like you to identify yourself as either a RESOURCE (i.e., "mentor") or a SEEKER. You may be both, but please let us know your primary focus for this event. We will develop individual profiles and make them available to all attendees before the event.

If you have any questions about the alumni career network and volunteering to be part of it, please call or email Paul Alan Levy at plevy@citizen.org or Kristin Williams at krismawil@gmail.com. Their contact information is below. If you would like us to circulate your resume to participants or simply want feedback, please send it to career.services@reed.edu with your express intention in doing so. We hope you are able to attend the event on January 10 either to share career advice or to seek it from DC-area Reedies. RSVP: [career.services@reed.edu.]
