Meet with Ambassador Steven A. Browning, Department of State Diplomat in Residence for the Northwest. You will learn about careers and internships with the Department of State and about how you can serve your country by working in more than 250 US embassies, consulates and missions overseas as well as the Department of State offices in Washington DC.  Career paths include Foreign Service Generalists, Foreign Service Specialists and Civil Service positions based in Washington, DC.  The State Department also offers about 2,000 internships each year.
