The symposium focuses on urban environmental issues and the practical application of related ecological and social science research in the Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, Washington region. Networking, building partnerships, and exchanging information.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be accepted through November 9, 2012. Relevant fields include biological, chemical, physical and social sciences,land use planning, habitat management and restoration,citizen science, and environmental education. Abstracts should focus on sharing results, lessons learned,or information about opportunities and resources. For further details and the submission form: www.uercportland.org For More Details and to Register Visit www.uercportland.org. Early registration deadline: January 21, 2013. On-line registration closes: February 1, 2013 Standard rate: $40 Student rate: $20 *Volunteer: $10 *A limited number of early registrations are being offered for thosewho wish to volunteer in exchange for a reduced rate. Fee includes lunch for those who pay by early registration deadline. Registration at door: $45 (check or cash only, no credit cards) does not include lunch. 

The UERC is a consortium of people from educational institutions, local, stateand federal agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses who supporturban ecosystem research and creating an information-sharing network to collectand use ecological data in the Portland, Oregon/Vancouver, Washington region. The UERC supports equal access to its events.
