When and where is the First Avenue Career Expo?

The Expo is on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Chiles Center at the University of Portland. During this time students have an opportunity to meet with organization and graduate school representatives about summer jobs, internships, full-time and graduate school opportunities. 

Who is going to be there?

View the list of attending organizations. This site updates frequently so check back often.

who is invited?

Students enrolled as undergraduates during any part of the 2012-2013 academic year at one of the nine member colleges and universities. Alumni post 2003-2004 academic year from these institutions may register as well.

how do I register?

Register online for $10.00 by clicking register (on the left). Fee waivers may be earned through the career center on your campus. Deadline is April 4 at 4:00 p.m. You can also register at the door with student ID for $10.00.

Directions to University of Portland from I-5 N:
We will be having vans at Reed able to transport you to and from the expo. Sign-ups in Greywood!

Take the Rosa Parks Way exit #304 (formerly Portland Blvd.), then turn left on to Rosa Parks Way. Stay on Rosa Parks Way as far as it will go (approx. 1.5 miles from the exit) keeping right as Rosa Parks Way turns into Willamette Blvd. Stay on Willamette Blvd. into the University of Portland. Make a left hand turn from Willamette Blvd. into the main entrance of UP; the main parking lot will then be on the right. The Chiles Center is the round, domed building. You may park on campus for free without a permit. There is a good chance the lot will be full. Allow plenty of time should you need to park and walk......
