Applications are now available for the 64th Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA), “Leading in Lean Times: Assuring Accountability and Assessing American Priorities in an Age of Austerity”, to be hosted by the United States Military Academy at West Point November 7-10.
SCUSA is a 4-day conference held annually at The United States Military Academy at West Point. The purpose of the conference is to facilitate interaction and constructive discussion among student delegates in order for them better understand the intricacies of the challenges that the United States faces in a global society. The product is a policy proposal to be shared with the rest of the conference and beyond through a new partnership with the Undergraduate Journal of Social Sciences.
Reed College is privileged to send one delegate to each year’s conference. The delegate’s registration, round-trip airfare, and per diem will be generously provided by the Elizabeth J. Ducey Fund, while the U.S. Military Academy will provide ground transportation and housing.
For more information and a complete list of roundtable seminars, please visit the SCUSA website at: http://www.usma.edu/sosh/SitePages/SCUSA.aspx.
