A Churchill scholarship awards one, and only one, year of graduate study in engineering, mathematics, and the physical and natural sciences leading to a certificate, diploma or Master of Philosophy degree at Churchill College, Cambridge University, England. All tuition and fees are paid, with a 10,000-12,000 British pounds living allowance depending on the course of study. Additional funding is possible for research and travel. The one-year awards lead to the Masters of Philosophy (MPhil), the Certificate of Post-Graduate Study (CPGS in different fields), the Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS in theoretical or applied mathematics), and a Diploma (in Computer Science). The Foundation does not accept application for the MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development or other policy-focused programs. The Foundation Director advises applicants to avoid the Department of Pathology: "There are ample opportunities in other departments to pursue similar lines of research."
