Watch the Schmooze video!
The Schmooze is your first networking opportunity for the new school year. This year, the event coincides with the fall Trustees meeting, Reed Alumni Volunteer weekend, AND the Centennial celebration. Alumni in leadership from all over the country come back to campus. Don't miss this key opportunity to make contacts with alumni from far and near. JOIN US!
Light refreshments will be served. We will e-mail a profile document that compiles bios of participating alumni to those who RSVP by Wednesday, September 21st. To learn more about schmoozing and informational interviewing, or to make a plan for getting the most out of this event, attend one of the schmooze training events, and/or call career services to schedule an appointment at 503.777.7550.
Please note: attire for this event is business casual.
*Michigan researchers say they've found that shooting the bull with friends has measurable benefits for the brain, keeping it sharp in later life. "Most advice for preserving and enhancing mental function emphasizes intellectual activities such as reading, doing crossword puzzles, and learning how to use a computer," says the lead researcher. "But my research suggests that just getting together and chatting with friends and family may also be effective."
**You are still invited! If you would like to receive a profile document, please email us no later than noon on Wednesday and we will send you a copy of the profile document and add you to the guest list.
