The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) is returning to the Pacific Northwest and partnering with the Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation to present an important and informative Pre-Med Forum for college and university pre-med advisors and students considering a career in medicine. The 2011 Pre-Med Forum will provide health professions advisors and students the opportunity to build a greater understanding of osteopathic medicine, medical schools, and osteopathic medical education. Registration is free to all advisors and prospective medical students.

Students with an interest in primary care areas such as pediatrics, family practice, obstetrics/gynecology and internal medicine will be interested to know that over half of all osteopathic physicians practice in primary care. Representatives will be present from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, COMP-Northwest, School of Osteopathic Medicine of Arizona (with campuses in Seattle and Portland), Des Moines, Kansas City and others. Please encourage students to attend this informative event. A flyer is attached for posting and distribution.

This educational forum is being held in conjunction with the Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation’s Founders’ Evening Celebration, a celebration of the amazing renaissance of osteopathic medicine in the Northwest We invite you to be our guest at both events.
