Meet Grace Toyomura, Corps Ambassador, with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). NCCC is a 10 month, team-based national service program for individuals ages 18-24 years old. NCCC is a residential program that allows members to serve from one of five region campuses located across the nation. Teams serve on projects that last about 6-8weeks in the areas of education, environment, public safety, unmet human needs and disaster relief. In exchange, members receive an education award, room and board, living allowance, medical insurance, uniforms, loan forbearance, training and transportation. This is a great opportunity for students looking to take a year after college before going to "work" or to earn money to continue their education. Team Leader positions are also available and include more benefits and there is no maximum age.
