Stay Tuned for Working Weekend
February 6—8, 2015

Two days of panels, intensives, workshops, plus MeetUp,
the one:one opportunity to engage with mentors

Working Weekend was created in 2012 by Reed alumni concerned that the economy made the college to career transition more difficult for students. The weekend is filled with engage opportunities with mentors (Reed alumni, parents, and friends of Reed) all geared to help students get traction in their pursuits beyond campus.

A few images from February '14, wherein 75 of 92 mentors were able to get to campus as Portland experienced its worst snow in five years. The first photo features Reed faculty (Paul Currie, Suzy Renn), alumnus, Peter Barr Gillespie '81, and Reed parent, Sharon Thompson Schill, all members of the panel on careers in neuroscience. The second photo is Chantal Sudbrack '97 with Reed students. Third is the group from the panel, Health Care: It's Not Just for Doctors, including alumni Colin Magowan '06, Scott Foster '77, and Mark McLean '70. Fourth is the panel of corporate attorneys: Forrest Alogna '95, Wes Overson '88, Cris Kako '73, and Laurie Webb Daniel '77. Finally, a panel on innovative careers, Steve McCarthy '72, Matt Giraud '85, Aravind Sankar '91, and Sasha Kramer '99.
