Other Opportunities

Blood Drives

Many of us well know that an emergency is not the only time to give blood, but a lot of the time people find it hard to get to the Red Cross and donate blood. That's why we have blood drives right in Kaul Auditorium!

Sisters of the Road is an extraordinary café that offers low cost, hot, nutritious meals in exchange for cash, food stamps, or work. It also provides job training, support to parents and children, and innovative solutions to the issues surrounding poverty and homelessness through self and community advocacy.

Dignity Village is a formerly mobile tent city in Portland, Oregon, well on its way to becoming a green, sustainable, urban village. It is home for people who might otherwise inhabit doorways and sidewalks. Dignity provides a peaceful community, a clean environment, a center, and safety.

Yellow Brick Road is a volunteer-based street outreach program established in 1984 in Portland, Oregon. Yellow Brick Road is a non-political, non-religious, non-judgemental organization that provides immediate eye-to-eye advocacy, first-aid & hygiene supplies, community resources, & referrals to Portland's diverse street dependent population. Join your fellow Reedies volunteering one night a week from 5 to 10 p.m. in downtown Portland. This program qualifies for the off-campus federal work study internship program.
