Equity Foundation  A Portland-based organization that promotes philanthropy and positive interaction through grants and outreach to organizations that target their services to the LGBTQ community. A good resource for scholarships and grants.

Human Rights Campaign
Founded in 1980, the Human Rights Campaign advocates on behalf of LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots actions in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded individuals to office and educates the public about LGBT issues.

Oregon's statewide LGBT political organization.

National Gay & Lesbian Task Force 

The nation's oldest LGBTI civil rights advocacy organization, and first to be a regular presence on Capitol Hill as a lobbying voice on behalf of LGBTI citizens, the Task Force is a creative, moving presence in Washington DC, and across the country, partnering with and helping strengthen local and state organizations. They are also a great place for internships!

Lambda Legal 
Taking a page from the ACLU's playbook, Lambda Legal has litigated and partnered on precendent-setting cases in LGBTI rights since 1973. Filing amicus briefs, helping support local attorneys, working in myriad ways to support those whose rights have been violated, Lambda is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
