Bureau of Labor Statistics: Occupational Outlook Handbook

Maintained by the U.S. Department of Labor, this site allows you to search more than 700 job titles for openings, wage and licensing information, and employment forecasts. You can also access employer contact information, articles on interviewing, and tips for resume and cover letter writing.

O*Net

Another offering from the U.S. Department of Labor, the O*Net database provides job-specific information gathered from employee surveys. It also includes a skills profiler, which compares your skills with that of a desired occupation to determine compatibility.
