The northwestern end of Reed's campus is primarily a residential area. It includes the Garden house, a residence for students active in Reed’s outdoor programs; the Reed College apartments and the newly acquired Birchwood apartments, both of which combine the privacy of off-campus living with convenient proximity to campus; and the Theatre annex, a space for performance rehearsal and set construction.
