Many paths cross here in front of the library, at the academic center of campus. There are benches to sit upon, a dog fountain built to honor (and quench the thirst of) Reed's plentiful canine population, and walks leading to all parts of campus, from the ETC quad and the biology-physics building to the canyon and the cherry trees of Eliot Circle.
