Campus Announcements

Dear faculty and staff, 

This year, we are taking a new approach to our annual faculty and staff head shots. Instead of taking the photos in front of a gray screen as we have done in the past, we will offer more than one background option, which will give us more flexibility in how we can use the photos. The end result will be more like what you see on Amherst's faculty website. 

Please select from one of the following options and add the date and time to your calendar. No appointment is necessary; it takes only two minutes for your photo to be taken. 

Locations and times listed below. We will have signs posted to direct you to the exact locations.

DAY 1: August 24

• 8–11:30 a.m.: Outdoors or building background (select from either outdoor greenery or brick building). Location: west side of the library building, off of Eliot circle.
• 1–5 p.m.: Books background. Location: north end of the original part of the library (near the newspaper reading room).
• 11 p.m.–midnight: Night shift headshots. Location: Eliot hallway near room 207.

DAY 2: August 25

• 8–11:30 a.m.: Outdoors or building background (select from either outdoor greenery or brick building). Location: west side of the library building, off of Eliot circle.
• 1–5 p.m.: Science lab background (select from different lab props for background). Location: developmental bio lab.

Public affairs will provide a digital copy of the portrait for your personal use. Photos will be available in late September.
