New trans/GNC therapy group at HCC
Greetings!
My name is Monica Rudick and I am one of the Psychologist Residents at the Health and Counseling Center (HCC). I wanted to let you know about a group that we are running starting next week at the HCC. It is a therapy group for trans and gender non-conforming Reed students. Jessica Wilson and I will be running the group.
The overall goal of the therapy group is to help give trans and gender non-conforming Reedies a safe, open, and affirming space to explore their experiences. The group provides opportunities to share and connect with your peers amidst a therapeutically supportive atmosphere. Much of what we will focus on each week will be determined by the expressed interest of group members. For this spring term, the group will be held weekly, Tuesdays from 4-5PM, in the HCC Conference Room. When you arrive at the HCC, just check-in at the front desk, and the meeting will take place downstairs. The first group meeting will take place Tuesday, March 21.
Attending this group does not require that you currently receive, or plan to receive, other services at the HCC. If you are interested and would like to attend, or have questions and/or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to email Monica at rudickm@reed.edu.
