The Mary Barnard Academy of American Poets Prize
2015-16 Submission deadline is coming up! Submit by March 29 at noon.
The Academy of American Poets, as part of their Academy Book Awards, sponsors the University and College Poetry Prize Program to distribute annual prizes at over 200 colleges and universities nationwide. A $100 prize is endowed by Reed College in honor of Mary Barnard '32 to be awarded for the best poem or pair of poems submitted by a Reed undergraduate.
Many prominent American poets won their first recognition through an Academy College Prize. The contest is open to all Reed undergraduates.
This year's contest judge for Reed College is Elyse Fenton '03.
Instructions for submission:
2 poems maximum, typed,
3 copies of each page
(Submissions will not be returned. Please put your Name, Phone#, Year in school, Postal & Email Address good through May 15, 2016 on each page.)
SUBMIT TO: Katie Pelletier '03, Vollum 320, by noon on March 29 (can be turned in earlier)
