Toastmasters is Coming to Reed!
Toastmasters is coming to Reed! We are soliciting volunteers to help with the initial planning for a new Toastmasters club. You don't need to commit to joining Toastmasters, but if you help with initial planning, Reed will pay the $36 fee for your first six months of participation. Please contact Laura Leibman, Mela Kunitz '87, or Michelle Valintis to learn more.
Toastmaster's is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve participants' public speaking and leadership skills. Every club is organized and run democratically by its members. Here's a New York Times article that helps describe the program. We envision the Reed club being open to students, staff, faculty and alumni. Email us by December 1, 2015 to be part of the planning team.
