Physics Prof Sets Compass for World Championship

Prof. Alison Crocker is representing the United States at the 2015 World Orienteering Championships this week in the Scottish Highlands. Ueli Stadler, resident Reed marathon runner, reported that Alison came in 15th in the sprint final: “If I am not mistaken, this is the best result ever for an American at a World Championship." And he noted that she competed in the relay competition: “Team USA came in 20th and Alison, who anchored the team, came in 14th in her leg, so another excellent showing.” Alison's final event, the long-distance individual race, is scheduled for Friday. Way to go, Alison! (See original story)
