Kamau Daaood, a driving force behind Los Angeles’ black cultural renaissance, teams with keyboardist David Ornette Cherry, and bassist Andre St. James to perform poems that soar and sway with the syncopation and melodies of jazz.
ALOUD! at Reed brings the nation’s best scholars, thinkers, and artists to our community for faculty-led cross-disciplinary programming. The series is sponsored by the Office for Institutional Diversity. Faculty host: Pancho Savery.
