East-European tour
January 3-18, 2009
The Russian department is sponsoring its sixth-annual East-European tour for students and alumni during Paideia, January 3-18, 2009, visiting, among other fascinating historical and cultural sites, Kyiv, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novgorod the Great. The tour will be led by distinguished Russian scholar and translator, and former professor at Reed, Judson Rosengrant.
Designed for Reed alumni, students, parents, and faculty, the tour will offer an integrated program of unusual richness and value for those wishing to learn more about East Slavic history and culture and see some of the world's finest museums and most extraordinary architectural sights.
The tour price will include round-trip airfare from Portland (or your most convenient departure point), visa support for the Russian segments, and all in-country expenses: lodging, a full meal plan, transportation within and between cities, English-speaking guides, and museum and site admissions.
