Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reunions all about?
Reunions is the largest alumni event held by Reed each year. Reunions are about
reconnecting with old friends and making new friends. About 900 alumni, spouses,
friends, and children are expected to attend, June 3-8, 2008.

What if it is not my milestone reunion year?
Alumni who are not part of a reunion-year class but who
would like to attend are welcome to do so. Please
register for the reunion of the class closest to your
own class year. In addition to the milestone reunions,
there will also be reunions for: Collegium Musicum,
KRRC DJs, nuclear reactor workers, psychology
majors.

When/how do I register?
A complete brochure will be in the Reed magazine
in mid-February and the same information appears on this
website. Register online or fill out the registration
form and return it with payment postmarked by May 12,
2008. The prompt submission of your registration
materials will ensure that you receive housing in the
dormitories and reserved spaces at meals and other events. Full
payment is necessary to guarantee your reservation.
Please help us get the word out that registering early
is important so that we can do our best to plan the many
Reunions activities. When it comes to preparing food,
lodging, and events, having an accurate estimate is invaluable.

How much does it cost?
The per-person fee varies depending on how many events
you attend. Fees help cover the cost of meals, drinks,
entertainment, registration materials, etc. While
we try to keep the cost down as much as possible,
the expenses — for more than 900 people — must be
covered.

When/where should I plan to arrive on campus?
Your first stop should be Reunions Central in the Student
Union (please check in even if you are not staying
on campus). Upon arrival, alumni should check in
to receive a nametag, map, a final schedule, and
other late-breaking information. If you are staying
in the dormitories for the weekend, you will also receive
your room key and housing assignment. Alumni College
participants will also receive their conference assignment.
Please note that dorm rooms will not be available
for check in before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3.
Alumni arriving after hours will need to pick up room
keys at the Community Safety switchboard in the 28 West
building at 5436 SE 28th Avenue. Reunions Central hours
will be Tuesday, 4–8 p.m., Wednesday–Saturday,
8 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday, 8–11 a.m. Check
out time for the dorms is by 11 a.m. on Sunday.
If you are arriving by taxi while Reunions Central is
open, enter at the main campus entrance on Woodstock
Blvd. to be dropped off at Eliot Circle. If you are arriving
after hours to stay in a dorm, go to 28 West to get your
room key and then have the taxi deliver you to the parking
lot nearest your dorm. Read more about directions
and parking.

Where will I stay?
Relive your student experience by staying in the dorms!
Each room includes a single bed and linens, access
to mixed-gender communal bathrooms, and breakfast.
Please note that the dorms are not luxury hotels
and lack soundproofing and air conditioning; they
are not equipped with amenities such as fans, bedside
lamps (except for Alumni College participants), ironing
boards, alarm clocks, or toiletries. You may wish
to bring a washcloth, extra towels, a small fan,
or extra blanket. We make every effort to place alumni
from the same decade in the same dorm, but encourage
you to register early for best results. If you prefer
to stay off campus, a list of area lodging can be
found here.

from 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, June 7, in order
