Working Weekend

Thanks to inspiration from Adam Riggs '95, Reed will hold its first ever "Working Weekend" on campus, February 3-5, 2012. This is a career-focused and entrepreneurship-focused event to help students and alumni, and it is open to everyone.

Alumni representing any interest or interest group--whether entrepreneurship in the for-profit or non-profit world, careers including law, applied hard science, software/internet, etc. or quality of life beyond Reed--are all welcome to participate. Through a variety of formal and informal interactions, students will be able to learn alumni perspectives on a wide variety of careers types. The weekend offers a mix of panel discussions, workshops (including a "start-up lab"), and one-on-one "office hours" appointments between students and alumni.

More than 70 alumni will dedicate part of their weekend to help current students and alumni gain important insights into current career fields. Details and information about the concurrent StartUp Lab can be found on its website.

Please do RSVP. If you cannot come to campus, please consider locating or creating a paid or unpaid internship opportunity for which Reedies could compete.
