Information about nationally competitive fellowships and awards for high-achieving students
If you are a first-year student interested in mathematics, science, or the environment, see below for eligibility requirements for the Goldwater and Udall scholarships and consider applying for summer research positions. For high-achieving (3.8 GPA or higher) entering sophomores or juniors who have research experience obtained during the summer and who intend to pursue a career in mathematics or science at the PhD level. Deadline: November 21, 2013. For high-achieving (3.5 GPA or higher) entering sophomores or juniors who intend to pursue a career in the environment and have a demonstrated passion for research or activities regarding the environment. Deadline: January 30, 2014. Deadline: November 21, 2013 High-achieving juniors should examine their postgraduate goals,
including study and travel outside the United States, and work on
applications (see Seniors).
