Information resource centers (IRCs)
Main Floor, ETC
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The IRCs are student computer labs on the main floor of the educational technology center (ETC). They contain Apple computers that run both Macintosh and Windows software, printers, scanners, and other equipment. A variety of software for course assignments and independent work is available as well. Departmental and specialized computer labs can be found throughout the campus.

The Computer User Services (CUS) Help Desk, across the hall from the
IRCs in the ETC, serves student, faculty, and academic staff. CUS
issues student and faculty computer accounts and provides computer
support, training classes and documentation. The Help Desk is fully
staffed Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m to 5 p.m.
Additional after-hours Help Desk support, provided by student
assistants ("T-Watchers"), is available 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday
through Thursday.
Several nights per week T-watchers visit residence halls to help students connect their computers to the Reed network and to support the printers that are provided there. To request T-watcher support call extension 7525 or email t-watch@reed.edu.

The Computer Shop, an Apple Authorized Service Provider, is available
to current students, faculty, and staff for Macintosh repair, upgrades,
and maintenance. For privately owned equipment, the Shop charges $35
per hour plus the cost of parts. It can provide Apple warranty service
at no charge, no matter where you bought your Mac. The Computer Shop is
open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Computer Store carries a wide selection of Macintosh computers and accessories that can be purchased by Reed students, faculty, and staff. Rabeca Reese, the Coordinator of Computer Sales & Purchasing, can also provide purchasing advice. The Computer Shop is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
